Simply Music
Simply Music by PricillaU featuring crystal jewelry
I wanted to keep it simple while keeping with the intensity of the song. I also let the colors found in Selena's music video inspire the color palette.

Lullaby and Goodnight
Do you have a favorite lullaby? The one that your mom use to sing to you like all of the time. The one song that when you hear it or even just think about it, it gives you the warm fuzzies inside? My favorite lullaby us "Hush Little Baby." My mom seemed to like this one a lot too, although, I don't think she ever sang it the right way because this video and all the other ones I looked up are kinda different. =) lol Love my mommy!

World Cup 2010 South Africa!!! Part 2
So much good music for the World Cup this year!
Shakira: Waka Waka
K'naan: Wavin' Flag
Same with Spanish
And again with Indian =)
(Can you tell which is my favorite =D)
Also, the Black Eyed Peas, Alicia Keys, John Legend, Angélique Kidjo, Juanes, Hugh Masekela, Tinariwen, Vusi Mahlasela, Big Nuz & DJ Tira, BLK JKS, Vieux Farka Touré, The Parlotones, and Amadou & Mariam played at the kick-off concert.
Many different groups and solo artists from various parts of the globe. The World Cup is such a cultural immersion, isn't it? =D I like that a lot!

The Art of Dreaming
What are your dreams and aspirations for your future? Where do you see yourself heading in this journey called life? How do you plan on influencing those around you?
I Am a City Light: Daniel Mow is a rising artist that is taking his passion of music to the nations. Through his love for music he plans on making the Gospel of Jesus Christ known to every single person in the world.
Sometimes people cannot understand what other people are trying to tell them through words. There is sometimes a language barrier that makes it difficult to speak to those in other countries. Music, however, is the language that everyone speaks. This is the reasoning behind "The Art of Dreaming."
"The Art of Dreaming" is an album that Mr. Daniel Mow has just released this past weekend. It is a CD that is purely instrumental. He believes that this will open doors in other nations so that he can spread the Word of God as is commanded us in the Bible.
Daniel Mow is an incredible artist that can play the guitar amazingly. He not only plays awesome guitar on his tracks, but he also plays the piano, drums and all other instruments that can be heard. He did not just play all of the instruments, but he recorded, mixed and produced everything himself.
This album is truly inspired and inspirational. It is available now on iTunes.

A Year of Hymns
Okay, so I randomly came across this guy's blog. Seems pretty cool! He is an artist who rearranges and plays hymn music for his church. He had too many songs that he had done to put on his last CD. Starting May 1st, he will be giving out one of these songs per month to download for free. If you would like to pay for the song, proceeds will go to the human rights organization, International Justice Mission. This makes me so happy because I am so for human rights and even did a speech just this week over it in my oral communications class =)I think that's a pretty cool idea! Definitely seems legit by the way.
Here is a link to his blog:

And to the IJM site:

Hope you check them out and even help out monetarily if you can. This guy is showing what he is passionate about and is doing something about it!

Kiss and Tell?
Okay, for whatever reason, I have been listening to Selena ALL of the time. I really like her, her acting and her music. Maybe I'm biased since she's Hispanic? lol I have no idea! I actually haven't had the chance to listen to her whole album "Kiss & Tell," but I am right now =D haha It seems that Disney likes to try to get people who are good at everything- singing, acting, great personality, maybe even dancing? etc.- just like the old days =) But they hardly receive such great people.
The ones I can name off my head that I think (or the public in general) were both talented actors/actresses and great singers would be Brittany Spears, Hilary Duff, Miley Cyrus and now Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez. (Let me know if you think of more.)I'm partial with Duff and I really don't like Spears's whiny voice. Cyrus's voice is good when she keeps in under control. I do like Lovato's rock edge and Gomez's incredible voice.
The thing is that all of these ladies started when they were so young! That is incredible! Think about it? You get the chance of a lifetime to work with Disney! Wow... Disney has really kept their promise of making dreams come true with these girls. Sometimes I envy this opportunity but then I think, hmmmm, I'm not near that good anyways lol

We Can Work It Out
Okay so I thought that I should maybe tell you what are MY personal favorites when it comes to the music world.
Genres that I like include anything and everything except rap. That is just in general, I do like extremely clean rap sometimes.
As in way of artists, I find that I'm getting more and more into pop music and the classics/jazz music. I use to be a sold out country lover through and through. It was my life. Now I like artists like Demi Lovato, Lady GaGa and Selena Gomez...Michael Buble, Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin will ALWAYS have a stronghold in my heart. Ummm....let's see...what else? Indie music...always a must in a college student's life. I usually get my fix of that through my friends that I have met on campus. Here is a prime example, .her name is Katelyn R.:

This is Me
I want to keep this blog in order to keep myself up to date on all the latest and greatest music. I absolutely love music but tend to put it in the back-burner or just listen to the "safe" stuff, the stuff that I've listened to since I was like 13. So yeah, this is more kind of like a challenge to myself. If you come across this and know of anything interesting happening in the music world, let me know! And I will definitely be writing on here...this is pretty sweet =) Didn't realize it was so easy to get a blog lol
